An Update from Marion Public Library

We want to keep you informed about a recent development impacting libraries nationwide, including ours. Baker & Taylor, one of our primary book wholesalers, has announced it will be closing its operations this December. For many years, they’ve played a vital role in helping us stock our shelves efficiently and stretch every dollar in our print book budget.

 

We’ve already begun transitioning to a new wholesaler, but with many libraries making the same change, they’re currently overwhelmed with the influx of orders. As a result, you may notice some delays in new releases and requested titles arriving on our shelves.
