Marion Public Library loves connecting authors with the community. Juneteenth is the perfect opportunity to share cultural differences through the common practice of reading. MPL will welcome author Jasmine Guillory to our no-cost community Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 17. Join us at 6pm to mingle with the author. The author program begins at 7pm with the book signing at 8pm.
She will discuss the relevant theme of her books and thoughts on Juneteenth.
Guillory's newest book, By The Book, was just released. She is a New York Times bestselling author of six romance novels. Her work has appeared in O, The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and more. She lives in Oakland, CA.
The event is a few years in the making as it was being planned pre-COVID. MPL thanks Marion Community Foundation for a grant that supplemented the author visit.
Books by the author will be available for purchase.
